Knowing Our Environment; Knowing Our Community workshop 24 April 2011
National Arts Council introduced its first hand workshop"Knowing Our Environment; Knowing Our Community",in CCS Elderly Activity Talent Centre which consists of four lessons of training for our senior citizens.
The workshop have attracted 30 elderly to participate in this creative arts activities.
Introduction of “Knowing Our Environment; Knowing Our Community” : a unique and engaging arts project that fosters the sense of community as participants co-create a shared art project and develop a deeper sense of themselves and their environment. NAC will be working closely with three community partners to plan and organise this rewarding project. The community partners will not only get a taste of how the arts can enrich the spirit and well-being of a community, their members will have the opportunity to make new friends and benefit from personal growth.

3月10日(星期四)《信.望.爱.活着就有希望.傳神乐龄第六期结业典礼》圆满落幕,爱却刚才起步。
17位新加坡第六期的乐龄义工以及13位来自台北的第七期乐龄义工,荣耀地走着“猫步”上台来接受大家的祝福,获得黄美云主席亲手颁发的毕业文凭。然而,文凭只是白纸一张,背后的故事才是意义非凡。
主席在晚宴中致词,鼓励义工们:又一届乐龄长者在受训后投入义工行列,他们选择了奉献宝贵的时间和精力服务人群,期望今晚是他们新旅程的开始,是他们人生的转涙点!
我们相信二十一 世纪是一个伟大的世纪! 因为就从新加坡社区的种族和谐及社区凝聚力开始,毎一个來自不同囯家的朋友,将要看到愛的奇迹!
